Munch

A munch, from "Meeting Over Lunch", is a casual social gathering for people involved in or interested in kink, BDSM, alternative relationship lifestyles or fetishes.[1]

Most munches are "vanilla" events where no BDSM, kink or fetish activities take place.[2] Munches are informal affairs that discourage fetish attire or BDSM play, though subtle collars or leather items may be permissible if they are nondescript.[3]

A play munch is a munch that incorporates a play party, where participants can take part in BDSM and fetish activities.[4] A play party is a social event where attendees socialise with like-minded people and engage in BDSM activities.[5]

The term "Burger Munch" was also used in Boston in 1993.[6]
